MARCH 2010

2010 is now well underway and so too are our plans for the year.
We have 2 beautiful new additions to our kennel.

"Ecstasy de La Tour Gelee ( Imp France) "

Ecstasy is owned together with our friends at Baithin Kennels, she is a fabulous new addition to our team.
We have long admired dogs from the La Tour Gelee kennel in France, so to be given the opportunity to own a puppy from our favourite female Vachette, is a dream come true.
I had the great pleasure of visiting Severine & David's home in 2007, where I fell in love with Vachette.
We are ever so pleased to now bring one of her babies to Australia. It is the first time a La Tour Gelee dogue has landed on Aussie shores.
Envie along with Espion is being lovingly cared for in France until their arrivals later in the year.
You can now learn more about Envie on her page here.

Also joining our family and show team in 2010 is a stunning little black & white addition.
He may not quite be the right colour and lacking a little bone to pass for a DDB, but he sure does have a great stop, and head planes!!!!!!!!

Pointer ( English)
" Tukeglen Swizle Stix"

The Pointer has been one of my wish list breeds for many years. For their birdy nature, elegance and grace both in structure and on the move.
Helen McCready of the world renowned "Tukeglen Kennels" has very generously allowed us to run on her boy from her latest litter of Jacko & Jesse.
It is a pleasure to welcome Ringo into our home and have some fun in the show ring. He has some big shoes to fill with Tukeglen Pointer Champions in Australia, USA, Canada and New Zealand.
Ringo's dad Jacko ' Ch Hyborn Keep Them Guessing with Tukeglen ( imp NZ ) ' is currently setting the local competition on fire, kicking off the new year with Group & Show wins already under his belt. Mum Jesse ' Grand Ch Tukeglen Nightmare' was a force to be reckoned with during her show career.
We hope Ringo will make us and the Tukeglen Kennels proud.

We also hope that our girls will be doing some motherly duties throughout 2010. Keep an eye on our Puppies page for further updates and details.

      SUMMARY OF 2009

As the year 2009 very quickly draws to a close, we are pleased to say we have a few exciting last minute announcements!

Finally, after 12months of planning, mistakes, headaches, unbelievable generosity from the stud owner and many hours of driving and paperwork he had to endure.
We can now announce the frozen assets we have secured from Europe.....

By way of frozen semen 'Int Ch, Sp Ch Goliat del Dominio de Los Penates' and
'Godsend Van De Paterhoek'  have become very important new additions to our breeding program.

I do not have enough words to describe how very grateful I am to Luis for all that he has done and he has persevered through all the hurdles and setbacks to grant us this wonderful opportunity.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Your genunine character and passion for the breed will bring you great success.
Many thanks my friend.

You can learn more about Goliat & Godsend here

But that is not all of our news!...........

In the final months of 2009, we secured another great addition to our family.

Espion des Gladiateurs du Guesny ( imp France)

Espion was an unexpected but very welcome addition to our plans.
Many, many thanks to Thierry & Nathalie for granting us this fabulous opportunity.
Thank you for entrusting us with this special boy.
We are so excited about Espion's arrival in Australia late 2010.

You can see more of Espion on his own page, here

   On the Home Front....
Clara has continued her winning form after our last update, she went on to win BEST OF BREED at the
2009 ROYAL BRISBANE SHOW
Judge: Mrs Brenda Branbury UK
Stella also performed well winning the Australian Bred Bitch Class.
Unfortunately, Valdez and Baby were not in attendance at this show

Clara also finished the year as the Number 1. Dogue De Bordeaux on the
"Dogzonline All Breeds Pointscore".
( we did not participate in the BOB pointscore )

Valdez finished the show year with some lovely Dog Challenge and Best of Breed wins, including wins over his kennel mate and best friend Clara! He is now almost finished his Australian Champion title, we hope that the new year will bring those final points.

2009 has been a wonderful year for our small kennel, it has certainly not been with disappointment or stress but we have had great success in the show ring and although it took almost the whole year our plans for the future of our kennel have come together.
2010 is certainly shaping up to be an exciting year for us.

MAY 2008

INTRODUCING
    ATARAXIA PIPER GIRL

Piper has now joined our show team and both Piper and myself are enjoying the challenge and experience.
After only starting in the show ring 4 weeks ago at the age of 12months, Piper has already gained her first points towards her Australian Champion Title.
Just like her mother (Ch Ataraxia Indienne), Piper has a correct and balanced body structure, no 'show tricks' needed, this gorgoeus girl can walk into the perfect stack!
I would have to say that Piper is probably the sweetest Dogue I have ever met. We are throughly enjoying our time spent with her as she is a pleasure to have around.

Photos below at 13 & 12 months.

APRIL 2008

   New Australian Champion

Ataraxia Joie De Vivre "Stella" gained her final points towards her Australian Champion title over the weekend. Stella is our first Champion here at Bronzantiq and she did it in style taking an 11 point Best of Breed.
We are very pleased with our gorgeous girl.

Ataraxia Piper Girl - has joined our show team. We are looking forward to gaining lots of ring experience with Piper.

Photos coming soon.

FEBRUARY 2008

Stella's Hip & Elbow Score results are in...

Hips - 1:3 = total score 4 / Int Grade B

Elbows - 0:0

We are thrilled with the results. As expected, Stella has passed all health tests with flying colours. These results have been an important consideration for us in determining Stella's suitability to provide the foundation of our future breeding program.
